Proverbs 13:20
Best Intentions
Too many times, we are focused on people’s intentions. At some point, we should stop focusing on WHY people do what they do, and just focus on what they do. A friend that accidentally brings you your favorite piece of cake that has Ecoli, is no different than a perceived enemy, when the result is sickness and possible death.
Yet, we will excuse the friend because they say that they care for us and we therefore judge their “intentions” instead of their actions. Focus on what is important… “What is this person causing in my life?”, instead of “How I feel about this person”. The “what”, is the truth. And the truth, will set you free.
